Ambitious College relocation update

We have been planning for the future to ensure Ambitious College and our community of learners and staff can continue to thrive and achieve. We have been working hard to identify a new site for September 2027 that will provide a supportive and inclusive environment for our learners.

Following a comprehensive search, we can confirm that we have found a new home for Ambitious College, within the Capital City College estate. We will be moving to the Montagu Building, based at Capital City College's Enfield campus, located a few miles north of our current site at the Pears Tottenham campus.

This is an exciting opportunity for us to create a purpose-built learning environment for autistic young people. Our new site will be situated within the heart of the mainstream college campus, ensuring our learners are fully part of the college community.  This will provide increased opportunities for shared learning with mainstream students, as well as the chance to improve autism understanding and inclusion through staff collaboration, knowledge-sharing and training.

We will be carrying out an extensive refurbishment of the Montagu Building before we move to our new home in September 2027, to ensure it fully meets the needs of autistic young people and our staff. We have launched a fundraising appeal to support our goals.

This change is as an exciting opportunity to consolidate the progress of Ambitious College to date, building a learning environment that is shaped around the new curriculum and guided by the latest understanding around what works in autism education.

While there will be no immediate change to young people’s learning environment, we recognise that future change could be unsettling for those affected. We will be working closely with parents and carers and young people to manage the transition smoothly.
