Learners get in the festive spirit as they prepare to host their first ever market stall

Over the past few months, learners at both Ambitious College campuses have been busy preparing for their first venture, running a stall at the Christmas markets in Enfield. On 10 and 11 December they will be selling a range of Christmas gifts, artwork and jewellery made by learners at the college.

Preparing for the Christmas market

Led by teacher Rebecca Land, they have been working with teachers, support staff and our visiting Artist in Residence, Caroline Couzens, to plan the enterprise project. The learners have crafted jewellery items, created festive decorations using a variety of materials and produced personalised artwork in their Enterprise Arts sessions to sell at the stall. Learners at the Southall campus have been busy designing prints, which have been transferred onto tote bags by learners at TreeHouse School.

Katie Wake, our Employment Specialist, has been working with the learners to develop the skills they need to run their market stall and five of them will get the opportunity to put those skills into action.

This market is a brilliant opportunity to promote the talents and hard work of all of our learners, as well as being a vital learning opportunity.

Please do pop down to see them in action at the Christmas markets in Enfield on 10 and 11 December and show your support.
