On the 3 July this year, 5 of learners from the Jubilee class ventured to Avon Tyrell – the very first residential trip for Ambitious College!
Learners in the Jubilee class have been preparing lunch for the staff every Friday to help raise funds for the trip. Leaving from college in the morning learners and staff made their way to Waterloo and then caught the train to New Milton. We had a fun-packed 3 days at Avon Tyrell, participating in activities including canoeing, mountain biking, climbing and a campfire. The trip was topped off by a sensory disco on the last night – a perfect way to end the trip. For some of the learners it was their first time away from home and many of us got to try activities we have never tried before.
After a wonderful 3 days it was back on the train to college – exhausted but extremely happy. A wonderful 3 days and a huge success!
